RCU Cancellation & Attendance Policies and Participant Responsibilities:
Cancellation is required in writing at least 5 days prior to Workshop (“class”) start date in order to receive a refund, excluding Eventbrite fees. (Eventbrite fees are non-refundable).
Participants cancelling within the 5 day cancellation period may request to be rescheduled in the next class, incurring a $50 administrative fee.
Make-up days and missed partial days are granted only in cases of emergency and incur a $25 administrative fee (must communicate with instructor in advance).
“No-shows” (participants failing to cancel or reschedule) are subject to 100% charge and are not eligible for refunds.
Please email info@recoverycoachuniversity.com for all cancellations and reschedules.
100% on-time and on-video attendance are required for all RCU workshops in order for participant to receive a Certificate of Completion. This aligns with the ASAP-New York Certification Board (NYCB) Certification eligibility requirements.
Instructor has the discretion to require a participant to leave if these policies are not complied with or if participant is disruptive, disrespectful to instructor or classmate, or sleeps through class (yep, it’s happened).
Participation from a vehicle is strictly prohibited.
Cell phone participation is highly discouraged; please secure use of a laptop with camera and audio for all classes.
You are responsible for following all instructions emailed to you beginning with your immediate registration confirmation email message and reminders sent 5 days before start date with critical links (Zoom, Handouts/Class Materials, Protraxx registration/enrollment for all CCAR Classes (RCA, Ethics, Spirituality…). You may need to scroll down in messages to read all content. If you don’t receive these emails before class starts these may have gone to your spam folder - please check. Be sure you are checking the inbox of the email address that you used to register.
You are responsible for the purchase of any participant guides required for class attendance (all CCAR classes, Harm Reduction). These manuals can be purchased using the links in your confirmation email and in the email that you receive 5 days prior to class, and through our website - see specific class pages.
RCU provides basic information about Certification on our website; if you are planning to apply for Certification (CRPA, CARC, CRPA-F etc.), please check the ASAP-NYCB website for details and application requirements.
Thank you for respecting and complying with RCU’s policies and participant responsibilities. These will ensure an enjoyable and valuable learning experience for all.
